Don’t fail to remember, optimizing blog posts for serps isn't mean to compromise with content quality. We have to add keywords in a correct way in order to make it looks normal for our readers and for engines like google too.
I will outline the ways and places where to add keywords for better optimization.
1. Starting And Ending Paragraph Of Content
When writing a new blog post always remember to add your targeted keywords in the beginning and ending paragraph of your content. Search engines looks at this aspect of your blog to determine the ranking of your blog post. You can go further by adding by adding keywords in form of phrases in your content to make it more SEO Friendly.
Note: Do not keep on repeating words again and again. Be sure to use relevant and related words. Using related words helps your blog in appear in search engines with multiple terms.
2. Title Tag, Alt Tag and Image Name
Images play a major role in explanation of your blog post. Using images it helps to optimize our blog posts. Before uploading out images we are ought to optimize them by changing the image name and place your targeted keyword in it. We can also go further to add keywords to the image title and alt tags as these tells search engine bots what your topic is all about.

The title of our blog post is the top place to add our targeted keywords. Using catchy titles in the title of your blog will attract more users to your blog. When using catchy titles always remember to add your keywords there. Always make it a priority to use catchy and meaningful blog post titles as it also attract visits from search engines.

What Is Permalink?
Permalink is simply the URL of our blog post. Its among the best location to add our targeted keywords. By default the blog post permalinks are created based on your post titles but we can use a custom permalink to add your keywords. Below is a simple guide on how to add post permalink in blogger
Before publishing your blog post on the post editor click on Permalink from the right hand side of your post editor box, choose custom and insert your targeted keywords there. E.g "Optimize-blog-post" and click on Done.
Be sure to use your targeted keywords in permalink as it helps to increase your search ranking.
5. Post Comments
Only few bloggers are aware that through posting of comment we can add some related keywords concerning our blog post. There is much benefits in blog comment and if we use them effectively we get higher chances of getting better rankings in search engines. When you reply any user comment on your blog try to add some keyword in form of phrase regarding the user comment.
